CAS News and Events For 2010
Cloudcroft Art Society started its new season in 2010 with an election of officers.

And the membership pitching in and helping fill the empty president’s position and filling in the committee positions.
We have monthly meetings, the first Sunday afternoon of the month starting at 1:30.
There is usually a program, demonstration or hands on play time for the first hour followed by a business meeting, everyone is invited to visit you need not be a member to come. Meetings and programs are held at the Red Brick School house in Cloudcroft and we’d like to invite you to visit!
Meeting dates: April 11, May 2, June 6, July 4 (meeting program to be announced later), Aug 1, Sept. 5, Oct. 3 and Nov. 7. (We do not meet in Dec-March due to icy roads)
Dues are $20 for the year for an individual, we have lots of opportunities to offer our members, you may be a part of the CAS Gallery, on the web site, show in the membership shows, we have educational programs as well as a library of books, VHS’s and DVD’s to help you along with your creative endeavors. If you would like to see everything offered and have a membership form sent to you please send us an email.
Our first event will be a show at the Lodge in Cloudcroft, a beautiful setting and wonderful resort and dining faculty. We are honored to have several art shows and sales during the year. May 28-31 will be the dates of the first show. We welcome any visitors to view the show, it will be located in the Crystal Room, just off to your left as you enter the front of the building.
There will also be shows at the Lodge July 2-5 and December 17-19
In August CAS will have a show at NMSU-A’s Townsend Library
In September there will be a CAS members show at Eagle Ranch
During the summer months we have a very informal fun group called Art Among Friends. This group meets on Tuesday mornings at 9:00, sometimes there is a short program or demo, but always you are welcome to bring whatever you want to work on and your supplies. It’s like an old fashioned quilting bee or sewing circle, we enjoy each other’s company, help if it’s asked for and generally have a very good time followed by a Dutch treat lunch somewhere in the village.
