Carol Alvarado is a textile artist participating in 4-6 juried shows per year.
She creates hand sewn garments and accessories using a variety of textile
techniques including dyeing, printing, marbling, bleaching, painting and
weaving. She also teaches and creates mosaic tile pottery artworks.
Ms Alvarado has received both a Master Degree in Art and a Bachelor's
degree in Textiles & Clothing from Indiana State University and has taught
Fashion Design, Interior Design,and Art at the college level for over 20 years.
Currently, she is teaching classes at NMSU-Alamogordo, ENMU-Ruidoso and
UTEP El Paso through the Community Education programs. She is also the
director of the Art After School program for children in Cloudcroft.
