Artist Cyndy Nesbit
Cyndy Nesbit is the current President for CAS. She has been serving in this position since 2007. Supported by a great group of artist it is a very fulfilling position. As an officer she’s looking to help other artists no matter where they are in their art. She is more than willing to answer any questions for those interested in joining CAS.

Cyndy is a Native New Mexican and her heritage shows in her art. Having a home in the Sacramento Mountains gives her a constant source of inspiration. Landscapes, wildlife and portraiture are her favorites. Cyndy’s portrayals of Indian life, and the lore, the western lifestyles of the cowboys, rustic barns and wildlife of the forest and desert and the wide open spaces of the West are well known.
Cyndy teaches watercolor workshops and private lessons to adults as well as children. Her classes are a big success. Humor and enjoying what you are doing are two very important aspects of her classes. She believes all it takes to learn is the desire to learn. Anyone can learn to paint, the good ones just stick with it and get in lots of practice.
As an artist, Cyndy has enjoyed exhibiting in NM, TX, CO. and AZ. Her paintings are in 32 states and 6 foreign countries. Madacy Entertainment used a series of Cyndy’s painting in the packaging of “The War Against the Indians”. This is an award winning documentary that chronicles the history of the North American Indians.
Her work can be seen in the Old Pecos Gallery, Carlsbad, NM, Cloudcroft Gallery, Cloudcroft NM, Sweetwater Gallery, Sweetwater TX, Studio 54@70, Tularosa, NM, Cloudcroft Art Society Gallery, Cloudcroft, NM, and Weed Gallery and Gifts, Weed NM.
